Centennial
Celebration Back to where it all began 100 years ago... Join us in
Seattle, the birthplace of the Association for Women in Communications,
and celebrate a century of AWC! It's where it all began in 1909, when
seven female students at the University of Washington in Seattle laid the
groundwork for a 100-year legacy. Through its growth the name has changed,
first as Theta Sigma Phi, then Women in Communications, and now known as
the Association for Women in Communications -- a name thought to better
reflect a cohesive group representing all communication disciplines. AWC
continues to provide its members with tools and education to excel at
their jobs, their careers and their lives. We look forward to seeing you
in Seattle for an inspiring and information-packed National Conference.
And better yet, make extra time to see Seattle's wonderful collection of
sites and activities. You'll be glad you did!
Please send
your ideas for 2009 Conference speakers and topics to
Cathy
Stevens .
We are also looking for Sponsors. If your firm or
company is interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact
Cathy or Alison
Bashian .
